Group Supervisor	Supervised the Processor & Software Group which developed the processor hardware and software for the MAR-30 Rural Telecommunications System.
Contract Engineer	Designed the 8051 microprocessor control hardware and assembly language software for a PCM Channel Service Unit.

Project Leader	Supervision of Custom AGV Control group. Responsible for software development of standard and custom AGV functions, and annual appraisals of engineers.
	Devised the concept of Flexible Program Mode for the AGVs, based on a custom street-map in EPROM. Specified Auto-Dispatch Mode, whereby stationary AGVs interface with a system controller via an infra-red data link.
Group Leader	Responsible for the technical direction of 2 electronic and 1 mechanical engineers. Co-authored the Hi-Racker XYZ Positioning System specification.
Design Engineer	Contributed to the design of the AGV software for Manual & Auto Mode.

Design Engineer

PCM Signalling Converter: Developed the call processing software. This was based on state transition diagrams, and coded in 6809 assembler. DEFT Communications System: Responsible for software development from feasibility model to production stage. Coded in 6800 assembler. FDM Pilot Scanner: Developed control hardware with discrete CMOS logic, using microprogram control. Re-designed the hardware using an 8035 microcontroller.

Design Engineer

Employed during the industrial training period of the NIHE degree course. Duties included prototype circuit test, modification and PCB layout

Electronic Technician

Worked in the Medical Equipment Group. Duties included building and testing prototype equipment, field trials, and maintenance of laboratory equipment.

Duties included final system test in the Test Department, and building and testing prototype circuits in the Design Laboratory.
